Consistent foiling, transitions and upwind mastery
Phase 1 — Upwind foiling
- Efficient tacks at foiling height: weight transfer, wing redirect, no splashdown
- Upwind angle drill: front-foot pressure, edge drive and constant wing trim
- Pumping through lulls: maintain foil height when the wind drops
Phase 2 — Transitions and toeside
- Jibe: carving a downwind turn while staying on foil throughout
- Toeside riding: heel-to-toe position change without dropping off the foil
- 180° switch manoeuvres: wing tip-in turn and clean exit
Session analysis and certification
- Video debrief after each session: review body position and fix habits faster
- Downwind runs and pumping for speed gain in lighter wind conditions
- International IWO certificate upon successful completion · 10h / 5 days
FAQ
You should already be able to ride upwind on the foil in both directions. The Advanced Course builds on that with tacks and jibes on foil, toeside riding, pumping and downwind technique.
Five 2-hour private lessons (10 hours total), with a video debrief after each session and an international IWO certificate on successful completion.
Yes. If you have your own wing and board you are welcome to use it.
