Photography

Everyone wants a photo of their first rides. A few simple tricks — the right light, the right angle and a safe spot on the beach — make the difference between a blurry dot and a picture worth sharing.

Light and Timing

  • Soft light in the early morning and late afternoon gives warmer colours and fewer harsh shadows.
  • With the sun behind the photographer, colours are brighter; shooting into the sun gives silhouettes.
  • At Nathon (May–October) the evening sun sets over the sea — great for silhouettes.

Angles

  • From the beach — shoot as the rider passes close, with a longer zoom if you have one.
  • Low — crouch so the horizon sits lower and the rider stands out against the sky.
  • Kite in frame — a wider shot with rider and kite tells the story better than a tight crop.

Phone or Camera

Modern phones do well in bright light. Use burst mode for action and tap to focus on the rider. A camera with a telephoto lens gets closer. Protect everything from sand and salt spray.

Safety for Photographers

  • Stay out of the launch and landing area and never stand downwind of a kite on the beach.
  • Keep clear of lines lying on the sand.
  • Follow the instructor’s directions — the riding zone is set for safety.

Drones

Drones need care around kites and lines, and local rules apply to flying them. For e-foil sessions we offer drone video: 1,000 THB for the footage or 2,000 THB with editing.

Expert Tip

Ask a friend to film a few short clips of each session. Watching them with your instructor is one of the fastest ways to see what to correct.

Our Spots

Nahai Beach (December–April) has a long sandy beach and shallow turquoise water; Nathon Beach (May–October) has sunset views over the sea.
